Driving your company car abroad
When planning a trip abroad with your company car, please consider the following factors.
When travelling abroad with your leasing car, you need to take the technical section of your car’s registration certificate with you. Check from Trafi’s electronic services whether you are registered as the co-holder of the leasing car. You can have the technical section printed at any inspection station. See the list of inspection stations here.
Note that only the co-holder of the car can have the technical section printed. If someone else is getting the section for you, the person will need to have a power of attorney from the co-holder. Please remember to have your identity card with you.
Travelling within the EU
If you are registered as the co-holder of the vehicle, you only need the technical section.
If you are not the co-holder of the vehicle, follow these instructions:
- Ask your employer to give you a written consent to take the vehicle abroad.
- Fill in a form for an export license here. A service fee will be charged for the export license according to our services pricing.
- Take the export license with you and have the technical section printed at your closest inspection station. You can have the section printed free of charge.
Take the documents with you on your trip. Have a safe journey!
Travelling outside the EU
Due to the situation in Ukraine, we do not issue export licences to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine for the time being.
NF Fleet Full Insurance provider XL Insurance Company does not issue Green Cards to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine at the moment.
You always need the technical section of the registration certificate when travelling abroad. The technical section can be printed out at your closest inspection station free of charge.
You also need:
- An export licence from NF Fleet. Fill in the form here. A service fee will be charged for the export license according to our services price list.
- A Green Card which you can order from your insurance company. If your car is insured with NF Fleet Comprehensive Insurance, you can request a Green Card by sending an email to axa@crawco.fi. In other cases, turn to your own insurance company. Check your insurance cover, especially if you travel to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine.
- Your employer’s written approval to take the leasing vehicle abroad.
Take the documents with you on your trip. Have a safe journey!
